The Magic Sponge offers a beautiful building with lots of character in a good location. It's just outside the main part of town, making it a quiet retreat while still being within an easy walking distance. The host and staff are very friendly and the rooms and communal areas are clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning works well. The bar and restaurant area is nice, and there are plenty of options on the menu. Families will appreciate the spacious and charming penthouse dorm, as well as the open-air design and big awesome balcony. There are also live music evenings, which are thoroughly enjoyed by guests.
Felt super comfortable, no reason to complain.

The hotel had a great location, making it easy to explore the town. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the breakfasts were delicious and the cocktails were seriously good. the room was clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay. the owner was friendly and welcoming, making everyone feel at home.
There was limited space to put luggage and bags in the room, which could be inconvenient. the lack of space between the beds was also a minor drawback.

The hostel was a great choice for my stay. The private double bedroom was clean and comfortable, with two big beds and a TV that included Netflix. It was a real bonus having such a variety of options to watch. The staff were exceptional, always friendly and helpful. The food at the hostel was delicious, and the portions were huge! Another advantage was the mini-golf, which the kids absolutely loved. it was a beautiful and relaxing experience.
The noise from the open mic night. Even though we were upgraded to a room away from the noise, it still disturbed our sleep until it ended around 10 pm.

We had an incredible stay at the Magic Sponge! From the moment we arrived, the owner, Will, made us feel like valued guests. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of beer and the dorm room we stayed in on the top floor was spacious and comfortable. the highlight was the large balcony with chairs, perfect for relaxing. the whole place was spotless and the bed sheets and towels were changed daily. We also appreciated the secure lockers for our valuables and the individual soap and shampoo provided with our towels. the hostel amenities were fantastic, with movies shown every night, pool tables, mini golf, and even live music once a week. And let's not forget about the food! the quality and variety of the meals were simply amazing, attracting guests from other establishments.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.

We recently stayed at a fantastic place in a wonderful town for a week. The owner of this hidden gem was an amazing character with captivating stories and a genuine love for the place. Our private room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a hot waterfall shower and a large, cozy bed. The modern bathroom was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the affordable price of $15 per night. The architecture of the guesthouse was impressive, undoubtedly one of the nicest buildings we've seen in this kind of accommodation. The food and drink menu exceeded our expectations, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The internet was also lightning fast. We definitely made the right decision by choosing this place and will 100% stay here again when we return to this charming town.
